Here is how we did it:
For our main light we used a Profoto 7B 1200 watt power pack and had two light heads plugged in.  Our main light was a Profoto beauty dish set at f10.  The beauty dish was raised six feet up, and eight feet from the subject.  We had the light inline with the lens to avoid shadows on the background.  We used the beauty dish to get a great quality of light on the subjects face.  The fill light was a large soft box set to f9, which was four feet away from the subject camera right.  This light filled in the shadows made by our key light and light lit the subject from the waist to the top of the head.  We placed a small Norman light set at f8, three feet from the background directly behind the subject to light up the background, and one final small Norman light also set at f8 camera left pointing at the background.  With this final strobe we had a background without any shadows casted by the subject.  One final meter reading at f11 and we were set.

Timelapse - Canon 5D Mark II

During a photo shoot that I photographed the other day we put a Canon 5D Mark II in the corner before we did anything.  The camera was taking photos every 30sec.  The total # of images for this time-lapse is over 2400 images.  To make all the images come together I used Quicktime Pro.

Studio Editorial Shoot

Title: Studio Editorial Shoot
Today we photographed a few great models from Pinkerton/Morgan 2 on a gray seamless background. The first model, Jenna Putnam, was only able to shoot for 2.5 hours so we had to work fast.  We pulled off shooting two different looks. My intern Necat Aknan help pull the clothing from local Malibu store "Naked Clothing". (23410 Civic Center Way, Malibu CA)

Jenna was so great to work with; full of life, energy and gave me the looks I needed fast.  Really looking forward in photographing her again.

The second model Tiffany Randall came up to shoot all the way from Riverside, CA.  She has only been modeling for 8 months. She was so great to work with.  She of course came with her mother, which sometimes poses difficulties for both the photographer and the model.  Not with them though- they were mellow and Tiffany was totally comfortable on the shoot.  Ashley Montague pulled clothing from all over and did a great job getting us a lot of diverse looks to play with.  We ended up with 5 different great looks with our model.

Video
This video is pretty much raw with out to much editing because I did this myself and didn't have a budget to have someone edit it.  But at least you all  can see how the shoot went down.

Bravo - "Million Dollar Listing" Party & Press

The premiere of "Million Dollar Listing" was last night on BravoMadison, my brother, is on the show so we had a Sicky Dicky party for him at one of his clients listings.  The house was sick, it had an indoor pool and the craziest views looking over Santa Monica and Malibu beach.  My brother and I work together and have a very close relationship therefore he decided to have ME on the show.  Thank you Madison and Bravo for making me a part of this great experience! Here are some of the photos from the party and a clip of "Million Dollar Listing" featuring the one and only, John Hildebrand...
